
Health and Safety, covering risk assessment
Looking at all aspects of health & safety in the workplace, this course is an in depth and accessible guide to the responsibilities of employers and employees at work. This course is for everyone in the workplace.
Aimed at large or small businesses and individual users, our Health and Safety course has been built on the Royal Institute of Public Health's 'Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety in the Workplace' syllabus. The RIPH have certificated this course.
The course is broken down into an introduction, eight modules and an assessment. The course covers all the basic principles that everyone in the workplace needs to know: slips trips and falls, manual handling, risk assessment, spotting hazards, preventing accidents.
On passing the assessment, a Health and Safety certificate can be printed out. The certificate includes the RIPH logo as a mark of the quality of the course.
Health and Safety's main modules are:
- Module 1 - Health and Safety Basics:
What is health & safety?, responsibilities, law basics, health & safety policy.
- Module 2 - Health and Safety Advantages:
Costs and benefits, a healthy safe workplace.
- Module 3 - Health and Safety in Practice:
Risk assessment, types of accidents, accident reporting and first aid.
- Module 4 - Hazards, Accidents and Accident Prevention:
Most common hazards, types of accidents, prevention of accidents, controlling hazards, reducing risk.
- Module 5 - H&S: Kitchen
- Module 6 - H&S: Office/Reception
- Module 7 - H&S: Housekeeping
- Module 8 - H&S: Maintenance
