
Fire Safety
This "Fire Safety" course is the ideal basic fire training for any business, whether as a first time training package, or a refresher of employer and employee responsibilities.
This course has been certificated by the Royal Institute of Public Health.
The course is broken down into an introduction, four modules and an assessment. The two main modules cover all the basics that every employee needs to know about fire in the workplace. Additional modules are refresher modules about the duties of night porters and fire marshal.
On passing the assessment, a certificate can be printed to show that the required standard of knowledge has been reached.
Fire safety's four main modules are:
- Module 1 - Basic fire knowledge:
The fire triangle, consequences of fire, fire resistance, fire doors and exits, action in the event of a fire alarm and a fire.
- Module 2 - Basic fire knowledge Plus:
Fire extinguishers and how to use them, classes of fire, fire resisting construction, case studies and law.
- Module 3 - Night porter/Personnel:
Final check of premises and walk rounds, action in the event of fire and alarm.
- Module 4 - Fire marshal:
Duties, action in event of a fire.
